Sandton Sun to host Cloud Africa

The Sandton Sun Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa is to play host to the first continental conference of Cloud, tagged Cloud Africa in May this year.

Corrie Thompson on behalf of the organizers noted that the event presents operators in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector the opportunity to explore the cloud options on the continent.

They quoted recent research which shows that cloud computing in Africa would be a huge trend for 2012 and beyond - now is the perfect time to get on board and sponsor our dedicated Cloud African event.

Cloud Africa, Thompson said, is a new launch event from the ComWorld Series, adding that its produced by OVUM & ITM – equally the organisers of AfricaCom, the acclaimed continent's leading telecoms, media & ICT conference & exhibition.

This conference-led event, with co-located exhibition, is FREE for all African Operators & Enterprise CIOs making it the premier meeting platform for those looking to join the Cloud movement and establish their brand in Africa.

The 2 day programme is led by the industry, for the industry - and the exhibition will attract global players displaying world-class solutions.

No other event can be relied upon to attract the diverse Cloud ecosystem with such quality learning & networking, a one-stop shop for seeing the future of cloud in Africa and forming all important business partnerships.

The advisory board which had major input into the agenda included industry leading companies like Safaricom, Ericsson, HP, Microsoft, ITM Research, CxO Advisor and Ovum.
