Nwannenna hands over to Uwadia

Chief executive, Condata Systems Limited and immediate past president of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Dr. Chris Nwannenna, has formerly handed over the mantle of leadership to the new leader of the society, Prof. Charles Uwadia.

Champion Infotel recalls that at the last international conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, where Prof. Uwadia was elected unopposed.

Noteworthy, is that Dr. Nwannenna had led NCS on two term that ended last July.

Prof. Uwadia, on the other hand is Head, Information Technology (IT) Centre at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Speaking at the handing over ceremony held at NCS new secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, Dr. Nwannenna enjoined the executive of the society led by Prof. Uwadia to be steadfast in advancing the course of NCS.

He expressed the believe that Prof. Uwadia team would perform upto expectations and called on members and Nigerians at large to support the new administration.

This year’s AGM cum confab was held between Tuesday July 17 through Friday, 20, 2007 at the Imo Concorde Hotel with the theme, “Achieving the Millennium Development Goals in Nigeria: IT Strategies and tools.”

The handover was witnessed by both members of Nwannenna administration and the executive team.

This including the President, Information Technology Industry Association of Nigeria, Chief Jimson Olufuye, first Vice President, NCS, Chief Anthony Ayodele, first Vice President of Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON), Chief Chris Uwaje, immediate past president of ITAN, Mr. Will Anyaegbunam among others.
