Civil servant wins starprize @ MTN Love bug promo

Leading telecommunications operator in the country, MTN Nigeria Communications Limited, at the weekend, ended its Love Bug promo with an Akure-based civil servant, Mr. Biodun Ogunwoya emerging the star prize winner, just as four journalists also went home N100,000 richer at a special edition of the promo for Nigerian media practitioners.

The promo, which witnessed about 93 million participants, according to the General Manager, Consumer Marketing at MTN Nigeria, Mr. Ikechukwu Kalu, was a success, hence it was extended from its original date of conclusion.

Mr. Kalu also said that the star prize winner, would be enjoying a trip to Paris with his partner and on return would be presented with a brand new BMW wagon 1 series, in addition to $3,500 for a change of wardrobe.

Also, 72 subscribers on the network, he disclosed, won N100,000 each at various electronic draws for the promotion, even as 10 other subscribers would benefit by having a weekend trip to any resort in the country for two in addition to their ownership of new Toyota Corolla cars respectively.

The four journalists that emerged winners in the special edition of MTN love bug promo included two photo-journalists and two Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) reporters, namely Mr. Jonah Iboma and Mr. Senge Miebi who also is to spend a weekend at a resort in the country with his wife.

The MTN Y’ello Love bug promo was a Valentine campaign launched by the telco to avail its subscribers the opportunity to win BMW 1 series, a trip to Paris for two plus $3,500 cash, 10 customers won weekend trip to a resort in Nigeria in addition to a Toyota Corolla and N100,000 for wardrobe make over.

Another 50 customers also went home with N100,000 each, 100 customers were treated to a special Valentine’s day dinner with free hotel accommodation, yet another 5000 subscribers won N5,000 airtime each and 500 customers won exquisite hamper for the season.
