“We do practical examinations that address the output the market wants from prospective employees,” he said.

In addition, Chief Shobanjo noted that the institute is focused on providing comparable IT training at costs that are between 30 to 50 per cent less than what the other IT training centres would offer.

As said by him, the company is spreading the brand wide so that more Nigerians can benefit from the high quality but low cost training on offer.

Further, he said, HiiT has carved a niche for itself in the area of IT literacy and is venturing into vendor-based certification training to fill the noticeable gap in the mode of training offered by the competition.

On the value of quality IT training, he declare that IT empowers people over and above their peers, if you are well prepared for the job.

Chief Shobanjo equally said that an IT literate medical doctor is 10 years ahead of his peers in terms of access to information, harnessing IT to improve diagnoses and medical services delivery.

HiiT, founded over a decade ago, has been a quality provider of computer proficiency and IT certification courses.

The excellent hands-on nature of the institute is underlined by the fact that it has presently produced the first and only Java Master in Nigeria, Wale Shobanjo.
