CelTel reassures SP partners on service delivery

IN effort to strengthen its relationship with its Service Provider (SP) banks, leading Pan African Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) operator, CelTel, has reassured that taking over of formerly Vmobile Networks by Celtel, would not hinder the grow and services of the telco.

Instead, he said, it would give a boost to the relationships the company has made over the years.

Head, CelTel Service Provider Business, Mr. Tolu Ojo, informed at a one-day forum for the telco SPs, that it is an avenue set aside by the telco to strengthen its business relationship with its partners, mostly from the financial sector.

The company, he said, is committed to making life better for all its stakeholders, as such supports the communities it serves by way of helping to improve the lives of individuals and group within the society.

He highlighted at the event attended by the top officials of Access Bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Intercontinental Bank, Oceanic Bank, Skye Bank, Sterling Bank, UBA and Zenith Bank International, the importance of the Service Provider in the mobile network service delivery chain.

Mr. Ojo also explained that the value of transactions and revenue from the SP model increased significantly between the period, August 2005 and 2006.

He also reassured the SP banks that the takeover of Vmobile by Celtel would greatly improve their fortunes, urging them to join hands with Celtel to “make life better” for all its stakeholders.

Celtel officials at the forum included Mr. Saeta Ukpemo, Head of Celtel Direct; Mr. Kunle Adebiyi, Head of Sales Distribution and channel; Mr. Obinna Ariwodo, Head of PR, Events & Sponsorships; Mr. Oare Ojeikere, Head of Brands Division; Mr. Emeka Oparah, PR Manger; Mr. Taiwo Onakoya, Manager, Corporate Sales; Mr. Victor Iduwe, Manager Corporate Sales and Mr. Oladele Balogun, Manager, Sales Service Delivery.SP Banks Model was introduced by the company in October, 2004 and SP Banks are partners with Celtel for the sale of Celtel’s products and services.
