Firm toasts experts on local knowledge forum

American Power Conversion (APC) has expressed support for local knowledge forum for the Nigerian market.

This, APC said, was to boost the local expertise of Information Technology (IT) engineers particularly.

The support came by way of super heading the initiative to bring valuable information to consulting engineers and their clients based on the need of new ‘server’ or ‘data centre’ environs.

Also the firm said, it raises new hope of addressing some industrial issues omitted hitherto and experienced with ‘legacy’ data centres.

In one of the forum which took place in Lagos recently, APC said it was a follow-up to the forums in Denmark.

Commenting on the Nigerian forum, Country General Manager for Africa at APC, Mr. Carl Kleynhans, said, “We decided to introduce this type of event to the local market to boost our input in reaching the customers.”

The forum, APC further noted, covered updated information on the latest Network-Critical Physical Infrastructure (NCPI) solutions available from its stable for solving data centre design problems.

Equally, the GM said, includes the company’s InfraStruXure offering, an integrated, scalable solution for NCPI that incorporates not just the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), but also equipment racks and cooling along with many other features.
