Babangida's son declines Tinubu's appointment @BOA - ITREALMS

Former President Ibrahim Babangida's son, Muhammed Babangida, has declined President Bola Tinubu's appointment as Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), reports ITREALMS.
In a letter made public on Monday, and sighted by 
ITREALMS, Babangida expressed gratitude to Tinubu for the offer but cited personal and professional reasons for his decision to decline.

The letter, dated after Tinubu's announcement on July 18, read: "Your Excellency, I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the honor of being considered and appointed as the Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture. It's a true privilege to be thought worthy of such a strategic role in advancing the nation's agricultural and economic development.

"After careful reflection and consideration, I have decided with utmost respect to decline the appointment. This decision was not made lightly. It stems from a convergence of personal and professional considerations that, at this time, would not allow me to serve with the level of focus and commitment the position rightly demands.

"Your Excellency, I remain fully committed to the vision of a prosperous and self-sufficient Nigeria under your leadership. I continue to hold your administration in the highest regard and stand ready to support national development in other ways where my expertise may be of service," he submitted.

ITREALMS recalled that Muhammed Babagida, born some 53 ago,  an alumni of the European University in Montreux, Switzerland; graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Public Relations and Business Communication.

Later, he attended Harvard Business School Executive Programme on Corporate Governance in 2002.
