Reports have it that Gulma was the teacher who went to the bandits demanding they should either release his students or take him along with his students which the bandits did.
However, he was recently released with his students a couple of days ago after spending days with their captors.
It is expected that when a book about courageous people in Nigeria is written, Malam Mukhtar Gulma will be given a mention with esteem and gratitude.
