TD fetes, honours partners, OEMs, resellers with awards




Notable Information and Communication Technology (ICT) distributors in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Technology Distributions Ltd. (TD), at the weekend feted its numerous partners including resellers and representatives of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to an end-of-year dinner and awards party, reports ITRealms.


Some of dignitaries at the event include chief executive officers (CEOs) and representatives of Corporate Nigeria comprising Group MD/CEO Access Bank, Dr. Herbert Wigwe; MD Fidelity Bank, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo; former NCC Vice Chairman, Ernest Ndukwe; Chief and Mrs William Anumudu of Globe Motors; former GMD/CEO Diamond Bank, Emeka Onwuka and Head, Global Markets, Stanbic IBTC, Sam Ocheho among others.


The event compered by the duo of comedian and comedienne Julius Agwu and Helen Paul equally featured artistes like Phyno, Iyanya and Chigurl, even as the TD Global Partner of the Year Award 2015 went to Jumia. 


Other partners and OEMs who came in for recognition include  IT Market Ltd as TD West Africa Partner of the Year (2015); TD Rising Star of the Year Award which went to DreamWorks Integrated Systems Ltd; TD Devices Partner of the Year Award - HinExcel Nigeria Ltd; TD Retail Partner of the Year Award which was won by Park ‘N’ Shop and OEM of the Year Award which went to Hewlett Packard (HP).


Also announced was the outstanding A+++Credit Partner of the Year Award (2015) which went to 11 organizations: Amason Computers Limited, Fortschritt Engineers Ltd, Idea Konsult Limited, First Step Technology, Leo Computers Nig Ltd, Paragon Technology, Alert Technology Ltd, Lavideepu Nig Ltd, Micro Manna Ltd, Foretec Investment Ltd and Bonnitech Computers.


TD Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mrs. Chioma Ekeh, affirmed that the company present leadership of the market and increasing market share were a reflection of the support and faith reposed in the organization by the partners, OEMs, resellers and other vendors, while assuring them of continuous review and improvement of its entire operations for better service delivery in the coming year.


“I stand here today to say thank you to all of you: the various OEMs, our partners, resellers and huge customer base nationwide. When we came into the sector, we met a market that was unstructured; one that was not delivering the needed value for our indigenous companies to grow and we set about dismantling those barriers and putting in place the right structures which has seen the proliferation of ICT distribution in Nigeria and the sub-continent.


“Today, I stand before you with pride to say thank you for keeping faith with TD. We are committed to improving our processes to serve you even better next year and this cuts across all aspects of the business including our internal operations and relationships with all partners, OEMs, resellers and solution providers. I congratulate all the winners and urge even those who did not win today to put in more to ensure they take their place at the winners’ table next year,” she surmised.


Speaking, Dr. Wigwe commended TD for its integrity and sound business processes while presenting the Global Partner of the Year award to the CEO, Jumia Nigeria, Mr. Nicolas Martin.


“I wish to commend TD for providing an opportunity such as this to unwind with and reward its stakeholders. From our experience of working with them at Access Bank, TD is a world class company to be trusted and a clear leader in the sector. On behalf of all the business leaders and dignitaries present here, I would like to wish the entire Management and staff of the company a greater 2016.”
