The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has entered into strategic alliance with Globacom, a national mobile operator in Nigeria, reports DigitalSENSE Business News.

Investigations by DigitalSENSE Business News revealed that this strategic alliance follows a recent Memorandum of Understanding between INEC and Globacom which trades under Glo to explore INEC directory by way of offering more education on the Permanent Voters Card (PVC)a s the general elections approaches.

DigitalSENSE Business News also gathered that the exploration of the INEC directory could be assessed on Glo line by calling 7411.

This, DigitalSENSE Business News further affirmed would avail callers with official and accurate information on tips and directions to PVC collection centres around their vicinity.

“INEC unveils Glo 7411 directory as its official partner in accurate information with unlimited tips and directions to PVC collection centre,” DigitalSENSE Business News sources declared.

DigitalSENSE Business News recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had extended the deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) across the country by additional two weeks from previous deadline of March 8, 2015.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Mr. Kayode Robert Idowu, the collection will now continue until March 22nd 2015, superseding the earlier deadline of March 08th 2015.

This latest extension, he said, offers the last opportunity for duly registered persons to collect their PVCs before the general elections scheduled for March 28th and April 11th, 2015.

“NEC hereby calls on registered persons that are yet to collect their PVCs to use this last opportunity in doing so, in order to participate in the forthcoming general elections,” Idowu explained.
