Ozowalu emerges MTN millionaire

The fourth season of the MTN sponsored Who Wants To Be A Millionaire television show commenced at the weekend with an administrator with a non-governmental organisation, Mr. Okechukwu Ozowalu, going home with 1 million Naira.

Commenting on his adventure on the programme, Mr. Ozowalu said he had one mission, to close the new season by hitting the jackpot.

Champion Infotel recalled that the jackpot of the show powered by MTN is N10m. But Mr. Ozowalu, who works for Mobility Aid and Appliances Research and Development (MAARDEC), said he wanted to win the money and invest in property and agriculture.

“I wanted to win the money, go into Abuja, buy a particular house for N3.3m and use the rest to farm in Adamawa State,” he declared.

Although Mr. Ozowalu broke a record time for responding to questions on the programme as the fastest ever to emerge a millionaire on the show within a short interval.

Remarkably, the Geography graduate answered all questions speedily until he hit roadblock mounted by the presenter, Mr. Frank Edoho with the question on “Which year did Chad changed its capital to Njamena?

Mr. Ozowalu, who decided to walk away with his 1 million Naira cash rather than continuing on the hot seat, said he hoped for more.

“I was hoping for more. My idea was to close the show for the people. My brothers were not happy as we were going away,” he said excitedly.

“I was good for N5m. I came here to take the whole N10m. I wanted to close the show for that day but I am still thankful to God for what I got,” he said.
