MGE confident in Nigerian market

TOP management of a United Kingdom-based Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), MGE, have expressed confident in the Nigerian market, just as the firm has registered presence by opening an office in the country.

The management team led in a visit to the country by its Systems Director, Russia, Ukraine and African market, Mr. Alan Le Meur and country Manager in Contonou, Mr. Paul Marie Dable, said the dynamic operations of the Nigerian industries have increased the use of MGE’s various range of UPS.

This, they noted has given the needed boost to productivity in the nation’s economy.

Coming out of a business meeting with its major dealer in the country, Power Systems Technology Limited in Surulere Lagos, Mr. Dable, pointed out, that market intelligence report has shown, “the use of MGE UPS is very high in Nigerian manufacturing, telecoms, energy and financial sub-sectors.”

He also projected that the brand’s market share will hit $12 million about N1.7 billion in the next two years.

Also speaking, Mr. Le Meur, observed that some companies import the products directly from the UK, but said, MGE is striving to organize its Nigerian market so as to empower the local dealers to have a firm control of the brand in the market.

“The starting point is the establishment of a local office and appointment of a country manager which had just been concluded,” he declared.

He equally lauded the management of Power Systems Technology engineering team for their quality after-sales services to its growing clients.

“We are confident that Power Systems Technology engineers are doing a good job in the servicing and maintenance of our range of products in Nigeria. The company has the expertise and a dynamic follow-up strategy which ensures that users of MGE range are constantly serviced even at very short notices,” he said.

Noting that Power Systems Technology engineers are constantly empowered with “lots of training in the company’s head office in France, which equipped them with the technical know-how to offer good and quality service culture for our products in the Nigerian market.”

Managing Director, Power Systems Technology Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Nwaoshai, while commenting said that his company’s relationship with MGE dated back to 1999 when the government began to open up the economy to the developed economies.

He assured of local support from his firm in distribution, installation, maintenance and repair various range of MGE products, “From the stand-alone to the sophisticated paralleled configurations for high-end users in Nigeria.”
